The authors of the contribution deal with the topic of relatively few discussed and in literature often neglected inborn defects of coronary channel of the character of artery hypoplasia and their relation to abrupt, unexpected deaths in children and young adults. They base their work on own autoptic case of the death of a young 27 year old woman, on her preclinical and clinical anamnesis data. Further, they draw from available experience of foreign centers that had the possibility to deal with similar cases and draw attention to the trickiness of clinical displays and the pernicious character of these defects for their carriers.
The exceptional character of their casuistic, in comparison with other cases where virtually the first display of the defect of coronary arteries is the abrupt heart death and the affected persons die abruptly from full health, lies in the long-term and relatively minutely recorded clinical anamnesis of collapse conditions, regarded at first by clinicians as tetania or neurovegetative dystonia, with gradual uncovering of the relation of these conditions to diagnostically non-cleared-up episodes of polymorphic heart dysrhythmias and unfortunately also with subsequent abrupt death. In next part, the authors discuss the own autoptic fund on the heart and the coronary arteries, describing macroscopic funds during section, the character of the defect and the histological picture of the pathologically changed structures, completing the text part with microphotograph documentation.
