Supporting of health in pregnant adolescentsNursing

Pregnancy of adolescents presents a serious social, medical and nursing problem. In our practice, we very frequently encounter pregnant adolescents and thus, this problem is by no means unique. These clients mostly come from weaker social groups, with only basic school education and they are frequently not ready, they are feared and they have no sufficient information about the pregnancy. They have neither experience nor knowledge concerning the course of the gravidity and taking care of the child. Given the fact that a special approach to these pregnant women is necessary, we started to consider these problems in details. It is necessary to possess sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge and experience not only in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics, but also in paediatrics, psychology and other disciplines, which may be employed in treating this group of clients. The first part of the communication briefly considers theoretical knowledge acquired by studying special literature.
An important part of the nursing process as method of providing the nursing care is the first stage, i.e. the consideration. The model of Marjory Gordon offers an integral and complex framework for the accumulation and compilation of data base, which could be used as a basis for subsequent steps, in the preparation of the individual plan and nursing care. The second part of the communication is aimed at the possibility of using and applying the conceptual model of Marjory Gordon to the process of nursing care in pregnant adolescents. The method of situation casuistry approach was used. We simultaneously present the work of midwives by the method of nursing process.
