The article considers rights of seniors in residential facilities. The target of the research was to find whether human rights are violated in these facilities, what the way of the violation is, and what the cause of this phenomenon is. The findings were obtained by a qualitative research methodology: Phenomenological method. For the data accumulation, the technique of non-standardized dialogue was used, the respondents being chosen by the snow ball technique. The total sample group was formed by members of management (n = 4), employees (n = 28) and clients (n = 20) of four old people's homes in Ostrava. Based on a qualitative analysis of data, two main categories were established: Infringement of rights of clients and causes of the client right infringement.
