The text presents problems of pupils with sight involvement in the course of their primary education in context of forming specific competences in the field of information and communication technologies. This area has particularly a considerable dimension of integrated rehabilitation in association with sigh involvements. In this connection, the information and communication technologies are particularly tools serving the compensation for the information deficiency developed due to quantitative or qualitative changes in the field of the visual perception. The statistical examination presented is a partial outcome of a dissertation project. The mentioned research examination is aimed at pupils with sight involvements educated in the main educational stream and furthermore in special primary schools and also at making possible the comparison with the majority population of pupils in the course of the primary education. In addition to the already mentioned comparison, the target of the research examination was identification of possible dependences between the degree of the sight involvement and achieved levels of competences in the field of information and communication technologies. A questionnaire technique was used for the quantitative approach to the data accumulation. The data were analyzed with the use of the SPSS programme version 15.0 for Windows by procedures of frequency statistics; hypotheses were verified by the squared chi independence test. This test demonstrated a relationship between the degree of the sight involvement and level of competences in the field of information and communication technologies at a 5% significance level. The results in all the regions of the research examination considered achieved unambiguously better values in favour of special primary schools. In spite of this statement, it is necessary to unambiguously AGREE with the further pro-inclusive development in our school system.
