The financial support of the care was incorporated into the social system with effective date 1. 1. 2007 based on Law No. 108/2006 Sb. On social services as amended. The contribution can only be used to cover expenses associated with providing the help for and supporting of a person, who is dependent on the care given by another person. Thus, it may only be "consumed" as a reimbursement of the care provided by a social service caregiver and of course also of expenses originating in a person providing the care, i.e. family member or other person, who is not a social service caregiver, in association with providing the care. The acceptor can combine both above specified methods as necessary and depending on the individually chosen method of providing the care. Thus, the target of the present work is to determine the degree and method of the use of this contribution by the contribution acceptors; to determine, whether persons dependent on the help by other persons employed the financial contribution for purchasing social services. To achieve the target defined the technique of secondary and contents analysis of data was used based on administrative documentation of the Municipal Office Písek together with appropriate forms concerning persons accepting the financial contributions at the competent municipal office. The research demonstrated that only 24% of persons with recognized degree I of the dependence and only 32% of those accepting the contribution corresponding to degree II of the dependence took advantage of registered social services. Acceptors of contributions in degrees I and II most frequently have some of family members or other physical persons as providers of the assistance. Depending on the increasing level of the contribution granted, the use of registered social services also increases. A proportion of 55% of persons with recognized degree of dependence III and 50% of those receiving the contribution corresponding to the dependence degree IV take advantage of registered social services.
