The paper presents the results of survey of patient satisfaction with nursing care and with stay in hospital. The aim of the quantitative research was to find out satisfaction of in-patients in surgical departments in term of sociodemographic data. The study, Nursing care in patients after the surgical treatment of head and neck cancer, was conducted in the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in Pardubice in years 2009-2011.
