The contribution presents results of questionnaire examination of the satisfaction with the current dwelling in 600 citizens of 50 to 64 years of age with focusing on men and women, age group, site of the contemporary dwelling and performance of employment. In the evaluation of the satisfaction with dwelling, more than 9/10 citizens of 50 to 64 years of age report that they are satisfied with their dwelling. A decrease in the satisfaction with dwelling is observed in women with increasing age. Women are more satisfied in other cities (compared to Plzeň) and in the country, whereas men are more satisfied in country and in Plzeň. From the standpoint of the satisfaction with dwelling depending on the employment, employed citizens are more satisfied with their dwelling compared to those of the same age, which do not perform their employment any more.
